Morgan Bravo’s Elegant Vintage Wedding

By: Sarah Ramsey

We are so excited to introduce Azarue’s bride, Morgan Bravo, in this week’s blog post! Morgan’s wedding was absolutely stunning in every way with an extraordinary venue, a sentimental first look, and an exciting reception.

Morgan and her husband, Gustavo, met through mutual friends, and hung out several times at their friend’s house before they went on their first date. “Gustavo is three years younger than me, so it took me a while to go out with him; I thought he might be immature,” Morgan laughed. After their first date, Morgan immediately knew that she had met an amazing guy and fell head over heels.

Morgan’s and Gustavo’s proposal story is enough to make pretty much every girl jealous. The two had gone on a romantic cruise, which was their first big trip together. While enjoying a long, relaxing day by the ocean in Mexico, Gustavo asked Morgan to go on a walk down the beach. Just as she got up, Gustavo got down on one knee and proposed.

July 31st just could not come fast enough, as Morgan anticipated their wedding day. It was time to start planning!

Morgan wanted her wedding to have a classy, vintage feel to it, so she chose the Remington Hotel and Spa as her venue. Built in 1905, the Remington is a showstopping historic building in downtown Shreveport. The hotel ballroom truly exhibits an antique feel with exposed brick walls and massive, vintage chandeliers. Weddings can be held indoors or on the hotel rooftop, with an exquisite view of downtown Shreveport and the evening sunsets.

The wedding gown Morgan chose certainly exhibited the classiness that she was going for on her wedding day. She only tried on four dresses during her appointment at Azarue’s, and as soon as she put her dress on, she knew it was the one. “The dress made me feel like a princess,” Morgan said. “I was comfortable in my own skin.” Morgan chose a Maggie Sottero gown, Charlene, which has a stunning flowy silhouette and beaded bodice. “My favorite part of the dress was all of the opal beading on the top,” Morgan said.

The day was finally here for Morgan and Gustavo to say their I do’s!

Before they walked down the aisle, the couple did a heart felt first look at each other. “That was my favorite moment of the whole day,” Morgan said. “He cried like a baby, and it melted my heart.”

After a beautiful ceremony, the couple headed to the dance floor to have their first dance to the song Prayed for You by Matt Still. “I have always dreamed about an amazing guy, and the song speaks to my heart knowing that I prayed for someone like him,” Morgan said.
The two had a blast dancing the night away with all of their family and friends. As the night came to an end the couple left the reception through a tunnel of sparklers held by the wedding guests.

When asked what advice she would give to future brides Morgan said, “Don’t think you have to try on a hundred dresses. When you know you know, and when you put on the dress you love you won’t want to take it off.” She had tried on dresses at a couple of other places, but the minute she stepped into hers she knew it was the one. “Chelsea helped me so much with finding my perfect dress,” Morgan said. “I gave her some ideas and she pulled out exactly what I loved.”

Congratulations Morgan and Gustavo! The Azarue’s team wishes the two of you a lifetime of love and happiness. ♥
